 Job Summary
The Development Operations/Quality Assurance Manager (Dev Ops/QA) is a team leader for development and execution of tests across multiple products.  They are responsible for creating and reviewing test cases and plans with other QA members for complex projects.  Reports success/failure and works with software engineers to detail, diagnose and resolve issues. Provides estimates for activities performed within the project and responsible for coordinating estimates across multiple projects. May install products for testing including 3rd party components.  Automate test cases and recommend product enhancements.  Has good understanding of product capabilities, limitations and usage models.  Coordinates scheduling and testing with between Software Engineering and QA.  Creates and reviews testing reports and recommends improved processes for efficiency and improved quality.  Acts with authority to approve or stop a software release based on quality and potential customer impact.

  • Supervise a team of Quality Assurance Analysts
  • Develop and ensure compliance with the highest quality standards
  • Design and development deployment methodologies
  • Ensure minimal disruption to customer usage and performance
  • Test, evaluate and measure new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establish guidelines
  • Execute regression tests, functional tests and data tests to determine weaknesses in software code
  • Conduct performance load testing
  • Report, track and determine priority of reported bugs promoting quality achievement and performance improvement
  • Recommend program improvements or corrections to programmers and identify program processing errors
  • Review new or modified software, including documentation, diagram and flow chart, to determine if a program will perform according to user requests and standards and that they conform to guidelines.

  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience

  • Organized and detail-oriented; able to effectively perform multiple/concurrent tasks within deadlines within a dynamic environment
  • Ability to translate requirements and troubleshoot issues
  • Ability to serve as an advocate for quality improvements that drive the delivery of quality solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in testing  telephony based IVR, and multimodal notification solutions is a plus
  • Familiarity with multiple web browsers (versions should include current and two versions prior) including IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari
  • Familiarity with multiple mobile devices (iOS and Android)
  • Equally comfortable with both Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Exposure to QA in software release/build process/SDLC
  • Experience with Agile Methodology and delivery models
  • Experience with automated testing tools and techniques
  • Exposure to Altassian Toolset (Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience using Octopus, Docker and other deployment tools
